— Jigsaw instructs his victim[src]
Tom Robinson was a man, who was once targeted by John Kramer, better known as the Jigsaw Killer, who abducted him and took him to the abandoned Whitehurst Insane Asylum. There, his sedated body lay on a table in an operating room along with the bodies of Marvin Johnson and Jim Aumen, as well as Arney Faulkner, who was already dead. Jigsaw forced one of his victims to cut open Arney's body and to hide a bunch of razor wire as well as a key in his stomach, before he sewing him up again. His corpse and the other three men later became a part of a deadly game which Jigsaw had prepared for Detective David Tapp at asylum. Early on on his way through the hospital, Tapp entered the operational room, where he found the corpse of Arney, as well as the naked bodies of Tom, Marvin and Jim. All four of them were covered with a surgical drape. By using x-rays of their bodies and comparing them with the tags attached to their toes, Tapp had to find out which one of the bodies contained the key, which he needed to progress. Eventually, he identified Arney's body as the right one and cut open his body. After receiving the key, Tapp continued his way and left the four bodies behind. (Saw: The Video Game)
Not much can be said about Tom's personality due to his short screen time.
- While his fate is dependant on the player's choice, his survival is most likely canonical as the use of the x-rays and toe tags made it quite easy for Tapp to find the right body.
