Get over here and I'll show you real pain!
— Robert threatens Michael[src]

Robert is a fictional character from the Saw franchise as well as a minor antagonist in Saw II: Flesh & Blood.

Early Life

Robert was a drug addict and the best customer of Chuck, his dealer. Therefore, he trusted him unconditionally. However, he was eventually betrayed by him. When Chuck was arrested by the police, he incriminated Robert in an attempt to receive a lighter sentence. Due to this, Robert was sent to prison. While he was incarcerated, his addiction worsened dramatically. After serving his sentence, he was released. However, his past caught up with him and he was ultimately targeted by John Kramer, better known as the Jigsaw Killer. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

After having been abducted by Jigsaw or one of his accomplices, Robert was taken to an abandoned railway building. While he was still unconscious, several sharp, pointy razor blades were pierced through his forearms and he was chained by his neck to a metal column in the center of a room. When he woke up, he realized that he was surrounded by several explosive barrels. A recorded message left on an answering machine confronted him with his addiction and his relationship with Chuck. It also told him, that the only way for him to free himself was to move forward and take someone else with him to the column. However, he was warned not to kill this person, which was difficult due to the razors in his arms. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Robert attacks Michael

At some point after his awakening, a flammable substance, probably oil or kerosine, leaked from the barrels around him and catched fire. Shortly afterwards, a stranger, Michael Tapp, entered the room and attempted to pass it as part of his own game. Robert however tried to prevent him from doing so and ran towards him to take him to the column. While trying to do so, he aggressively yelled at Michael and threatened to kill him. Michael managed to evade his attacks and extinguished the fire, which blocked his path, by turning to valves on both sides of the room to activate the sprinklers on the ceiling. Afterwards, he ran past Robert and left the room. Just as he did, a roller door slammed shut behind him and Robert was killed in an explosion. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Not much can be said about Robert's personality due to his short screen time. However, during his brief encounter with Michael, he acted highly aggressive and angry. It could be argued that this kind of behavior was partly caused or worsened by withdrawal symptoms due to his drug addiction.
