Patrick Melton (born June 18, 1975) is an American screenplay writer.

Life and career
Melton was born in Champaign, Illinois.[1] Melton attended Evanston Township High School. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies. He also attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, where he received a MFA in screenwriting.[1]
He has co-written the screenplays for Feast, Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds, Saw IV, and Saw V, The Collector, Feast 3: The Happy Finish and Saw VI with collaborator Marcus Dunstan.[2] He co-wrote 2010's Saw 3D.[1][3] On 8 February 2010, he told Latino Review that Saw 3D is most likely the last entry in the Saw franchise
