I will break this chain and then you'll die slowly!
— Chuck threatens Michael[src]

Chuck is a fictional character from the Saw franchise as well as a minor antagonist in Saw II: Flesh & Blood.

Biography

Early Life

Chuck was a dealer who sold drugs to other people, such as Robert, his best customer, who trusted him unconditionally. However, when Chuck was eventually arrested by the police, he incriminated Robert in an attempt to receive a lighter sentence. Due to this, Robert was sent to prison as well. After serving his own sentence, Chuck was released. However, his past caught up with him and he was ultimately targeted by John Kramer, better known as the Jigsaw Killer. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Test

After having been abducted by Jigsaw or one of his accomplices, Chuck was taken to an unknown location. While he was still unconscious, several sharp, pointy razor blades were pierced through his forearms and he was chained by his neck to a metal column in a small room. When he woke up, he realized that he was standing in a puddle of water. A recorded message left on an answering machine confronted him with his crimes and his betrayal of Robert. It also told him, that the only way for him to free himself was to move forward and take someone else with him to the column. However, he was warned not to kill this person, which was difficult due to the razors in his arms. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Chuck attacks Michael

Shortly afterwards, a stranger, Michael Tapp, entered the room and attempted to pass it as part of his own game. Chuck however tried to prevent him from doing so and ran towards him to take him to the column. While trying to do so, he aggressively yelled at Michael and threatened to kill him. As Chuck was regularly pulled back by the chain, Michael embraced his opportunity and reached a set of four small combination locks. By bringing the four numbers in the right order, starting with the smallest number and concluding with the highest, Michael energized the water, which Chuck stood in. Moments later, Chuck was pulled back into the water again, where he was electrocuted. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Personality

Chuck was an untrustworthy and highly amoral individual. As a drug dealer, he took advantage of his customers' addiction to make profit and to establish a bond of trust with them. However, if it served him in any way, he didn't hesitate to betray his customers, as seen when he framed Robert in an attempt to get a lighter sentence for his own crimes. This is just another example of Chuck's unscrupulousness. Furthermore, Chuck obviously didn't feel remorse for any of his actions and didn't hesitate to attack and kill Michael, which shows a great inclination to aggression.
