Shotgun Door Trap Blade Crusher

Burn in hell, you monster.
— Michael, upon Zeke's death[src]

The Blade Crusher is a trap from the Saw franchise, appearing in Saw II: Flesh & Blood.

Design and Function[]

This trap consisted of two thick, large, upright standing metal plates. At regular intervals, there were several large blades mounted to each of these plates in four vertical rows. The plates' position could be navigated with a nearby lever. Between them was a pressure plate marked with an "X". If someone stepped on this plate while the metal contraptions were positioned correctly, they would close in on the victim and crush them. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

History[]

Michael Tapp's Trial[]

The Blade Crusher was part of the game of Michael Tapp, which was set up by John Kramer, better known as the Jigsaw Killer, at an abandoned chemical plant. As Michael went through the area, Zeke, a pedophile, broke through a door and jumped at him in an attempt to kill him. Earlier that night, Michael had saved Zeke from another trap. However, Zeke had lost both of his hands in the process and therefore seeked revenge on Michael, who he deemed responsible for it. Therefore, he had attached two blades to his arm stumps as replacements for his hands and tried to kill him. Michael, however, reacted fast enough to evade his assault and thereby caused him to break through another door. Embracing his opportunity, Michael ran away and squeezed through a narrow passage to another room, where he tried to hide from Zeke. However, the latter quickly found him and tried to kill him once more. Again, Michael evaded his attack and caused Zeke to run head-on against a metal pipe, which briefly paralized him. To Michael's dismay, Zeke quickly recovered himself and continued his pursuit.

Zeke's death

Whenever he got the opportunity, Zeke attempted to slice Michael with his blades while taunting him with frightening threats. Eventually, Michael fled to another room and blocked the door by overturning a shelf. However, thereby he was trapped in the room himself. Zeke then tried to enter the room through the only other door. Unknown to him, the Blade Crusher was standing right behind it. By pulling a lever, Michael repositioned the metal contraptions just in time. When Zeke finally broke through the door, he jumped on the pressure plate and was crushed by the contraptions, which closed in on him. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)
