The Acid Barrel Trap is a trap from the Saw franchise. It is an unseen trap in the series.

Design and Function

The Acid Barrel Trap consisted of a pulley system located at the ceiling of a room and a number of large barrels filled with sulfuric acid. Those were propped up above the victims' heads, whose hands were strapped to ropes attached to the pulley system. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Mitsuka Ito and Ronnie Navarro's Test

Early on in his series of murders, John Kramer, better known as the Jigsaw Killer, targeted Mitsuka Ito, a member of the local Yakuza, and Ronnie Navarro, a drug dealer and member of the Blood Eye Gang. They were abducted and taken to a room where they were strapped to the trap. It is unknown what exactly they had to do in order to survive. Eventually both of them died when their bodies were spilled with the sulfuric acid. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)

Jigsaw Investigation

After their death, Jigsaw cut two jigsaw pieces from their skins. The bodies were later found by the police. When Detective David Tapp arrived at the crime scene the acid hadn't left much of their corpses. They were sent to the morgue by Jennings Foster. Back at the police station, Tapp wrote a report about the incident. He speculated that something could've prevented Ito and Navarro from working together. (Saw II: Flesh & Blood)
